All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement presented at the time of booking confirmation or upon vehicle collection. This document outlines specific terms, conditions, insurance details, applicable charges, and your responsibilities related to the rental. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Renting a vehicle with us requires:
- To hire a vehicle in Penistone, you must be at least 21 years old, though age restrictions may differ based on the vehicle type. Drivers under 25 may incur additional fees. A valid, full driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category is required, along with identification and proof of your current address. 3. Reservations and Payments
- Reservations can be completed via our website, by phone, or at our Penistone office. A deposit may be needed to confirm your booking. The total payment and any security deposit are usually required upon collecting the vehicle. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include applicable VAT. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off

Prohibited Activities
Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle
- Use of the vehicle for illegal activities is strictly prohibited. Engaging in racing, rallying, off-roading, or similar dangerous pursuits is not allowed. Transporting hazardous materials or substances is forbidden. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is unacceptable. Driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs is prohibited. The vehicle must be used for its intended purpose, and adherence to passenger and weight limits is required. Operating the vehicle outside of the agreed geographical boundaries without prior approval is not permitted.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
Liability Restrictions
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Penistone will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the rental amount paid in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in English and Welsh courts.
